The race will follow the "traditional" course - a single loop around Hahamongna Park (formerly known as Oak Grove Park or Devils Gate Park). It is run on pavement and trails and is well marked, so this is a good opportunity for recovering Los Angeles Marathoners to do a short run on a soft surface. Water will be provided for all participants. We will use both the bridge over Flint Canyon inside Hahamongna Park and the East Gate bridge to cross the Arroyo. No more street or stream crossings should be necessary.

Getting to the Start:
Exit the JPL Main Gate and turn left at the Foothill Blvd traffic signal. Follow the road as it turns parallel to Oak Grove Drive. Opposite the high school, turn left (down the hill) into lower Hahamongna Park, then at the bottom turn right to the lower parking lot near the baseball diamonds.

Alternatively, on foot, you can exit the South Gate (by the Credit Union) and take an immediate left onto the bridle trail just outside the gate. Turn right at the "T" intersection then follow the paved road past the Forest Service station. Continue on the road and bear left at the "Y" (don't go uphill). Look for the start in the lower parking lot near the baseball diamonds on your right.

It takes about 10 minutes to get to the start area if you jog or walk briskly.  Please arrive by 11:45 am to register.

Volunteers are also wanted. Please let either Sam or Melora know if you can help out with the registration, photographs, or finish line.
